Oakley was born here at Rooster Valley Golden Retrievers and is a daughter of Luna and Bentley. We wanted to explain why Oakley has preliminary OFA results for her hips and elbows. OFA will not provide an actual certification or post results on their website unless they meet the age requirement of 24 months for hips and elbows. Oakley is schedule to go in to heat sometime between October - December 2023. Knowing that we planned to breed her at this next cycle, we chose to have her OFA health testing done at 22 months. We plan to have her x-rays redone if she does not start her heat cycle by her birthday 2nd, 11/28/23. We also did PennHip on her to ensure that both PennHip and OFA gave a passing score, which they did.
